          Zakuro is an up-and-coming model that already has a rather big fanbase, who happened to have Gray Wolf DNA injected into her. Like the other Mew Mews, she works at Cafe Mew Mew as a waitress. In her anti-socialness she tends to slam the customers’ food down on their table, says the bare essentials, then walks off. As the oldest of the Mew Mews, she is the most mature, usually choosing to stay out of other peoples business. She is more of a loner and refused to join up with the other four Mew Mews towards the beginning, but eventually accepted their offer and starts to warm up to her friends. Zakuro may appear to be cold-hearted but is really anything but that. She supplies Ichigo with dating advice, expressed concern for Ryou when she thought he was overworking himself, genuinely cares for Momoko, a little fan of hers, and many other little things.

          Mint can fall under the role of the snobby, sarcastic rich girl. She is especially like this in the beginning, but gradually changes for the better. Her parents are rarely home and her brother is usually off studying abroad. In her spare time she is usually either practicing her dancing (ballet and traditional Japanese) or working at Cafe Mew Mew, if you could call it that. When working, she tends to not work and fills up her time by sipping tea. Now, Mint is not all that bad. She cares deeply for her little dog, Miki, and for her friends, even though she may not show it.

R E L A T I O N S H I P

          Their relationship is usually interpreted in two ways: as a sister-like friendship or as a romance. Mint was a big fan of Zakuro even before she joined the Mew Mews and seemed to like her even more when she joined. It is quite blatant that Mint really likes Zakuro, and, more or less, has a crush on her. While it is obvious that Mint adores Zakuro, Zakuro's feelings are harder to tell. Out of all the Mew Mews, Mint is the closest to Zakuro. You could say it is because of Mint's persistence in trying to spend as much time with Zakuro as possible, but Zakuro doesn't exactly decline every offer. Zakuro does care for Mint, she's just not very good in the showing emotion part.

S I T E

          Layout wise, the picture is from the Tokyo Mew Mew: Ala Mode calender (I think...) that I got from Cafe Mew Mew. This layout was made and sliced in Paint Shop Pro 8 and further coded in Notepad.

          The title, "Oneesama", was a spur of the moment desicion when making the layout. Mint usually addresses Zakuro as 'oneesama', so I found it fit. Oneesama can generally mean 'elder sister' in Japanese, and you may add on other honorifics, besides -sama, such as -chan or -san. In Japan it is not uncommon for younger girls to address their older female idols as 'oneesama', so it does not mean that they are actually sisters. (Sorry, my knowledge of Japanese is rather weak, so please forgive me of any mistakes.)
